Shipping & Receiving Clerk – 2nd Shift

Polymer Resources is seeking an experienced candidate for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk position based at our Rochester, NY facility.

At Polymer Resources, we compound Engineering Thermoplastic materials that are used in both Injection Molding and Profile Extrusion applications serving Medical, Automotive, Consumer, and Industrial markets.  We specialize in producing Custom Colored products, and in providing materials with specific property profiles that meet needs of our customers.  We are a service company that provides specialty plastics; and as a result we have on time delivery rates greater than 99% with low returns and projected double digit growth over the next three years.

Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will report to the Department Manager at Polymer Resources. In this role the incumbent will perform a combination of accurate manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, staging, and shipment of our product. Incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties:

• Detailed oriented person
• Able to work with ERP computer system and hand held scanners.
• Work in a timely organized manner
• Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills to various levels within the organization
• Handle raw and finished goods
• Keep clean work area
• Load and unload tractor trailers with forklift

Required Skills:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Skills Desired:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Forklift operation preferred but will train if needed.
• Will train motivated candidates
